Our son Gabriel

Chris loved his son from the moment he was in the womb, he drove me crazy throughout the entire pregnancy, but he was the cutest and sweetest pre-dad on earth. Chris took such good care of me and Gabriel. When Gabriel was born, Chris literally sobbed and cried out so loud that the entire room broke in tears. Ever since Gabriel was born, we felt like a real family – not just Chris and Koo as a couple, but our family, a real family just starting out.

Chris's presence in Gabriel's life

Chris was very present in Gabriel’s life. He gave him his bath, he played with him, he read books, he drove him to school, he fed him, he did absolutely everything for his son and he just loved it. Chris was so proud on Gabriel’s 1 year birthday before we moved to London. It is a Korean tradition to throw the biggest party on this date and Chris was proud and so happy to be celebrating Gabriel’s first birthday.

It breaks my heart beyond words the fact that Chris is missing so much of Gabriel’s development since his injury, so much has happened to our little son and the thought of Chris’ pride and happiness at Gabriel bilingual skills and other wonders… makes me want to cry without end. The thought that Gabriel is being deprived of all that immense, endless and irreplaceable love Chris had for him…. It is so not right and so not fair… I long so much for the day Chris will come back to Gabriel’s life.
